It was HOT, HOT, HOT! I think we reached 117 degrees when we were there. Kevin was happy, not because he loves the heat. He wanted us all to experience his childhood, I guess. The kids were amazed at how hot it was! We enjoyed seeing Kevin's stomping grounds, lunch at Garcia's, time with other cousins and especially Great-Grandma Bonnie Jackson! She taught the kids how to play chicken dominoes. They keep bugging me to buy a set for us. Guess I need to hit Target for a set of dominoes!

Day 3 - Indian Ruins, Volcanoes, Slide Rock, Sedona
We got up super early on Day 3 so we could travel out to some ancient Indian ruins. We all enjoyed the peacefulness and the quiet out there. The volcano flow field was really cool, too. We then made our way to Sedona, but first stopped at Slide Rock for an hour. That was simply not long enough. We did some shopping in Sedona and then headed out to Thousand Trails for swimming and a family barbecue. A fun-filled (very filled) day. Later that night, we travelled down to Phoenix to spend some time there.

Day 2 - The GRAND Canyon
The kids loved the grand canyon. We loved sharing this beautiful place with them. Now they want to hike down to Havasu Falls next summer. Better start planning I guess...

Family Reunion Beginnings
So, we met up with Bryce and family in Albequerque and caravanned together to Flagstaff. We made a few stops along the way to see the Petrified Forest!

Summertime!
I have been so busy living life that I haven't been able to write about it. The kids enjoyed the last few days of school with field day and parties galore.
Audrey is missing her best friend, Sariah, who is spending the summer in France with grandparents and cousins. Maybe in a few years, Audrey can join her there for a few weeks. I might even try to tag along!
We hosted the Activity Day Girls over for a swimming party!
Jayne, Whitney, and I went to see WICKED! We even had a "behind the scenes" tour and got to meet the star of the show!
We had a lot of family and friends over for Memorial Day Celebrations!
The kids have been enjoying camps and late nights. We went to a family reunion in Arizona which will have to be its own post! We are now planning a trip to Houston and Glaveston next week! Can't wait to play in the waves.
