Michigan had one of the hardest winters on record. It was followed up by an unusual spring. In April, we had a week (or more) of 70 degree temps--WELL above normal--it was WONDERFUL! This was followed by a long bout of below average temps. Now, I think we are at about average--cool and frequent rain showers. The colors around town are absolutely gorgeous, though!

The smiles are hard to come by as we drive past the Beech house at the end of the street. We miss you all terribly, though we're happy you made your move to do the best thing for your family and that you all are doing well. We're thinking of you, too, as you and Whitney plan for middle school along with us. It will be exciting!
