So, I am now the Activity Day's Leader in our Ward. I must say that it is my DREAM calling. I love being with the young kids and teaching them. I have great leaders, moms, and especially girls. We decided to have a day camp for all the girls ages 8-12 in our ward. Our theme was Camp B.U.G.S. (building upon gospel standards). We started each day with a devotional. We then split up into groups to do activities in stations. We did a craft each day, games, skits, and cooking. We then had the snack the girls made in their cooking class, and went swimming. We ended the day with the skits the girls prepared earlier in their station. We had handouts each day. Kerri did a great job on these! We also had a special "camper of the day" awarded to the girl that best exhibited following the gospel standards. By the end of the week, we had several nonmembers participating in our camp. We had so much fun, and really bonded! How I love these girls!

Cousins and the BIG 12
We, of course, got together with the Krueger's while Grandma Beech was here. We even did some sleepovers with the cute cousins. It was soooo fun! Brandon also was ordained a deacon while Grandma was here (the main reason for her trip here)! Can't believe he is 12 already! Where did the years go?

American Girl Boutique and Bistro
So, we just had to take Grandma to the American Girl Place in Dallas. We had a fabulous all-girl day. We looked around, shopped, and had a treat in the bistro. The raspberry sorbet was so amazing!

4th and 5th of July
Every year we have a great 4th weekend since we also get to celebrate Brandon's birthday. This year Grandma Beech was here and Jayne's family came over for Sunday dinner, then we headed over to Breckenridge park for the fireworks. We will never forget getting ATTACKED by June bugs who just loved the wrapping to our glow bracelets. The 5th was spent with friends and family, pool, and good food. Brandon got some really nice gifts and is now outfitted for his first ever scout camp. He turned 12 this year, and now will have many more responsibilities and hopefully more fun! Happy Birthday to my, not so little, son!

Homeward Bound
We had a nice treat to have Grandma Beech travel back to Texas with us. We stopped to see Carlsbad Caverns on the way. We all loved this stop. The caverns were quite amazing. I can't imagine what the first explorers must have thought when they discovered these caves! I am glad they did, and that we had the opportunity to see them all together!
