Snow in Texas

Texas, it's like a whole other country. At least that's what the tourism commercials say. Where else this close to the Mexican border can you get a great snowfall in March? We definately get some crazy weather. I guess it fits with all those crazies down south!

3 penny for your thoughts:

Jenn,

We just got another 4 inches yesterday. We returned from Florida just after midnight (early Thursday morning) and the snow started about 2:45 in the afternoon. The news said it is the fourth snowiest season for the area on record! Somehow that knowledge provides some comfort--even if it's just to clarify that it is NOT just our imaginations that it's been a LONG winter! Coming from mid-70's in Florida to 4 inches of snow here was tough. More than the snow and cold, though, are the clouds! I think just a week of sunshine brings a whole new outlook!

Anyway, SO glad the kids (yours, that is) got a chance to have some white stuff! Was Audrey able to make that snowman she was missing? It looks like there may have been enough. I bet the drivers were nuts, huh? I also bet you were glad you still had those winter coats. ;-)

MISS YOU ALL MUCH!! Think of you daily!

My friend in Midland started her chemotherapy yesterday. I called about 9pm and talked with her husband. He said she had been doing fine until shortly before I called and the nausea set in. Please keep Yolanda in your prayers. She's most concerned about the kids blaming God. Pray they look to Him for strength and peace instead of blaming Him. Thank you!

LOVE YOU GUYS!

Wow- your kids have grown up so much! That's so fun that you were able to go to Disneyland with the Malones. I can't wait until the keds are a little older and we can start doing fun stuff like that! Our blog is http://mohamedmoments.blogspot.com/if you want to check it out. Thanks for keeping in touch!
